Update on face coverings

We here at Creating Smiles Dental would like to keep you informed on our safety protocols. To protect you and our staff, please be note our face covering policies when in the common areas of our dental offices.

Masks with Valves
Masks with valves may not be used without additional protection. Patients who come in with face masks with valves will be provided a surgical mask to place over their mask or in place of it.

Why are we implementing this policy?
Masks with one-way valves make it easier to breathe, but because the valve releases unfiltered air when the wearer breathes out, this type of mask does not prevent the wearer from spreading the virus*.

Plastic Shields
Plastic shields may not be worn as a substitute for face masks, per CDC recommendations. Patients who wear plastic shields must also wear a face mask or cloth covering.

Please note that exceptions will be made on a case-by-case basis to maintain ADA (Americans with Disabilities Act) compliance. Let us know about your concerns and we may be able to clear the common areas to escort you to the treatment room and back.

We’re Still Smiling!
Did you notice that our logo is a paintbrush creating a smile? For a fun video, we used a blush brush to magically show you our smiles under our Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). We are lucky that we get to see your smiles when you are in our dental chairs but oddly, you do not get to see ours. We’re the same happy Creating Smiles Dental family that you know and love! Watch our video to see for yourself.
