Joining Creating Smiles Dental in February 2018, Jessica initially contributed to the team’s success by managing insurance matters, and her commitment and skills propelled her into a management role.

TuAnh (Anh), originally from Vietnam, embarked on a transformative journey when she married Michael, our esteemed in-house lab technician.

Overcoming language barriers with remarkable agility, TuAnh not only mastered English swiftly but also seamlessly transitioned into the realm of dental assisting, showcasing her adaptability and commitment.

Her tenure with us spanned several years, during which TuAnh’s dedication and proficiency were evident in her contributions to our dental practice. However, driven by entrepreneurial spirit, she ventured to open the Alyssa Café in St. Petersburg, a local gem named after her and Michael’s cherished daughter.

While her entrepreneurial pursuits flourished, TuAnh’s heart remained deeply intertwined with both dentistry and her family. We are profoundly grateful to welcome her back into the fold, appreciating the wealth of experience, passion, and expertise she brings to Creating Smiles Dental. TuAnh’s unique journey, from Vietnam to entrepreneurship and back to dentistry, exemplifies her resilience and commitment to both professional and familial spheres. Michael Nguyen, Dr. Brayer’s brother is a seasoned professional who has been immersed in the dental world since his formative years, as his parents’ practiced dentistry in Vietnam. In our in-house lab, Michael performs dental magic, offering same-day denture repairs and an array of other specialized services. Dena is a true Florida native, born and raised right here in St. Petersburg. After graduating from Osceola High School, she pursued her passion for dentistry at PTEC, where she earned her dental assistant degree in 1994. With over three decades of experience, Dena brings an incredible blend of knowledge, skill, and compassion to every aspect of patient care.

As a cross-trained Expanded Functions Dental Assistant and Administrative Patient Coordinator, Dena wears many hats at Creating Smiles. Whether she’s assisting chairside or guiding patients through their treatment journey, her gentle touch and warm personality put patients instantly at ease. She has been a valued part of our team for many years and is known for her dedication to helping patients not only achieve healthy smiles but also feel truly cared for.

Beyond the office, Dena’s greatest pride is being a mom to her boys, Jared and Christopher. She’s also a devoted animal lover who adores her furry companions. When she’s not brightening smiles, you’ll often find her traveling, exploring new places, and planning her next adventure.
